After studying Human Geography and working in this field, Ivo first came into touch with photography through a friend. Attracted by the camera as the perfect tool to get close to people, Ivo started his career by shooting portraits in the dodgy areas of Amsterdam. Central in his approach are collaboration and connection; with models, agencies and clients. He specialises in portrait and documentary style photography and his style can be characterised as very natural, both in classic portraits and his more dynamic, lifestyle oriented shots. Currently he is working fulltime as an Amsterdam based photographer, shooting mainly for advertising agencies.
