An art director once told Pim: "You take pictures of what we see, but do not register". Pim takes photographs so he can share his observations with others.

He often travels to breathtaking locations: for advertising jobs and for magazines.

He has a passion to capture the grandeur and vastness of locations and does this in an artistic way with a strong eye for composition. His images balance colour and use of light, they breathe a special atmosphere. They are true pieces of art.

In his free work, Pim remains close to basics. Image editing is done as it would be in a darkroom using techniques such as blocking or pushing light or image decolorization. 

In his advertising work, Pim always rises to the challenge to transform a sketch to a picture, and to optimize, together with a team of professionals, an image to the very last detail.

The work of Pim Vuik has frequently won awards from the PANL (Photographers Association of the Netherlands).
