Selim was born in 1978 in Tunis, his mother is French, his father from Tunisia. At the age of 17, he moved to Belgium where he studied photography at the Ecole Supérieure des Arts Saint-Luc in Liège. After his studies, Selim worked for six years in Brussels as an assistant photographer for advertising and fashion assignments. This is how he built up a rich and varied technical and human experience, which enables him nowadays to adapt to the most varied conditions.

After this fascinating period, Selim started as an independent photographer, working for advertising agencies such as TBWA, BBDO, Air, Duval Guillaume, Famous, and for clients such as MasterCard, Belgacom, Decathlon, Electrabel, KBC, Hyundai, Brussels Airlines.

In his personal work he puts characters in such a context as to enable the viewer to use his own imagination to interpret the story. Selim also builds a relationship of trust with the models working with him so that they can appear natural and thus as authentic as possible.
